About Event

Cognizance is the annual technical festival of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Over the years it has grown to become one of the largest technical festivals of Asia. With a footfall of over 20,000, Cognizance 2014 has a multitude of more than 180 events. It is a fest that has it all - from amazing technical events to put your skills to the test, workshops to engage you, exhibitions displaying stimulating innovations, and guest lectures to provide you with a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience some of the greatest minds of today. The advancement of skill sets among the people led visionaries to envisage better times ahead for the entire human family. The path ahead of us is analogous to a rocky terrain- appears simple from a distance but calls for amends as we tread towards the zenith. Cognizance 2014, the Annual Technical Festival of IIT Roorkee, highlights the need to imagine and engineer our efforts under this year’s theme Imagineering Change. So come together to learn. How to reach IIT Roorkee

Roorkee is well connected to all the major cities in the region by road and rail.The nearest airport is located at Jollygrant, Dehradun. However, New Delhi is the preferred airport. Easiest way to get to Roorkee is by train. There are several trains serving Roorkee daily from various cities around. IITR Campus is 2.5 km away from Railway Station and just 200m from Bus Stand.
